Any reason to upgrade

is there any reason to upgrade from a T60 to a T61?

well do you need anything the T61 offers? I have a T60 now and unless i could get a T61 for the same price that i sell my T60 now then that's the only time i'd upgrade. I would like a Core 2 Duo but that's not necessity... i just heard it offers a lil better battery life. I also wanted a 14" widescreen and it seems only the T61 has that (unless i'm mistaken) so that's another reason i'd upgrade.

In general though, i was satisfied with my T42 and would have kept it forever if i didn't see the benefits a Core Duo provides. I guess the main reason was because of my chosen OS which benefit from the more RAM and dual core. Other lil nicessities are there too (more warranty, SATA drives, new technology in genera) so i'll take them too

If OP gave us the configuration of his current T60, we might get a better idea of pros and cons of moving on to T61...
