i got 2 512mb 667Mhz (Hynix)
i wanna upgrade to 2gb 667Mhz X 1 (kingston)

my questions are

1) from lenovo,
"Recommended for memory expansion are 2 GB PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM 533 MHz SO DIMM
or 256 MB, 512 MB, and 1 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667 MHz SO DIMM."

will the new 2gb 667Mhz runs 533Mhz only?

2) 2GB (kingston) + 512MB(Hynix) , will T60 works just fine ?

i searched over 30 threads, but can't find a ans........

The advertised T60 specs were surely written before 2GB 667MHz RAM was widely available.

That said, I've personally added 1x 2GB OCZ 667MHz RAM to my T60's 1x 1GB Hynix 667MHz RAM and it works perfectly fine with 3GB total, all of it running at 667MHz.

So to answer your question, 2GB (Kingston) + 512MB (Hynix) will work perfectly fine in your T60.

That's definitely a joke, not a funny one at that. Memory is a CRU item so how does replacing it void warrnty? Capacities or speeds or what? What was their criteria for even saying that.
