Cannot enter standby or hibernate...

#1 Post by Michau » Tue May 06, 2008 1:57 pm

My T60 currently stopped responding to standby or hibernate requests. When I choose "Standby" or "Hibernate" from shut-down menu, nothing happens. When I press Fn+F4 or FN+F12, nothing happens. When I close the lid, nothing happens. Can you suggest any solution?

Wow, the same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago, and I appeared to have resolved it by removing the "HP Digital Imaging Monitor" from my Startup folder. It was installed as part of the software bundle for my HP C6180 All-In-One printer.

This app appeared to also have a significant effect on both startup and shutdown times too, and I can't see that I'm missing anything by not loading it.

Could you provide more information? OS, which SP, state whether or not you recently installed anything or did a system update ...
