Do you think $600.00 is good for a T61 7658-RUU

T60/T61 series specific matters only

Do you think $600.00 is good for a T61 7658-RUU

I can get one of these right now locally for about $600.00. Do you think this is a really good deal? I just got ahold of an X41T last weekend and it seems cool. Good enough for web browsin and light word processing.

I really hate finding good deals on Craigslist! Now I'm not sure if I wanna sell the X41T and get the newer T61. How's the build quality of the T61 compared to the older T4X series? My last Thinkpad was a T43 and also T40 and those were build rock solid. I'm curious as to how these newer ones are holding up.

Thanks

If these are the specs that you're looking for, $600 is a bargain basement price assuming that the machine is clean and has warranty left.

Just my $.02

It is brand spankin new. I am not too crazy about the specs but I think this would be a bit more useful than my X41 tablet.

Useful for what would be my main question...you may want to be careful if you're not used to widescreen machines, apart from that it should be fine.

Sorry for not being too specific. I originally bought my X41 because I wanted a light and portable net surfing machine that could do some light word processing. I got this one for $300 bucks with the dock.
I would have liked the ability to have a faster hard drive and a dvdrw/cdrw but was not a requirement.

Then I see the T61. This can do all but is just a few more pounds heavier. I guess now I just need to figure out what is more important to me and if I need to sell my X41 to get the T61 since I don't really need to have both.

If you want something light, you'll be better off with X60/61/s...than with T61

Just my $0.02...
