Slow wheel scroll after sleep

Just as the subject says...whenever I put the thinkpad to sleep on my docking station when it wakes up the scroll wheel is very slow. Logging off/on my user account returns my scroll to normal speed.
Anyone have this problem, and better yet a solution?
