Hi All,

Subject says it all. My laptop occasionally hangs up. The mouse won't move, ctrl-alt-del won't work. Nothing works, except a hard boot.

I am up to date on all thinkvantage critical updates, bios updates etc.

Does anyone know a fix for this?

Or any way I can unfreeze it or debug it, when it gets this way?

I had that yesterday on my T61p running Vista. It could have been OS related as I was mucking around with some folder share ideas. No trouble before or since, so I am not at all certain of a Vista problem.

XP is known to me to be highly reliable.

So it could have been a hardware issue. I am printing this thread today, so if it happens again, I can report to Lenovo service.

I was having a similar issue, and still am. Ran some hardware tests, and came up with nothing.

The rep I spoke to told me I could send it in for an evaluation, but i cant part with it until the end of the semester...

I ran some tests of my own (with the given PCDoctor software).

I came up with the same lockups when running the video tests 10 times...it seems to make it only to the 8th test, then freezes.

I am running: Windows XP, and have the ATI Fire-gl v5200
Let me know if you have the same issue.
