AC Adapter and Battery Messages

Just in case anyone can shed some light on this for me, would be appreciated.

After almost a year and only being out of the docking station once. IBM messages sent me several saying wrong AC adapter. Then a message battery quality poor and too hot, switching to battery 2. I only have one battery.

The battery now only holds 60 % of a charge even though has only gone through 2 cycles and is LION. It shows 39-42 Degrees C depending on what I am doing a the computer.

Could the AC adapter be failing? Could it be internal?

Aazingly, I have a week or so left on the warranty, so Lenovo is sending me a new AC adapter and battery. But I would like to feel some confidence more dage has not been done and this will likely not happen again.

I've been through a few AC adapters, and the only things I have happen were not running /charging off of AC and the adapter getting hot. Both were solved by a new adapter.

Adapter #3 seemed to work right
