Hey all,

I've read online that directx 10 (also known as directx 9.0L according to a website) will be coming to XP. I'm pretty sure quadro fx570m supports directx 10 (tell me if I'm wrong). Just have some questions:

1. Will having directx10 disable OpenGL capabilities?

2. Will it have any negative effects on overall system performance?

3. I'm not a hardcore gamer (mediocre gamer), but I do like to play games on high settings while maintaining good performance. Is directx 10 worth it?

DirectX 10 will never be supported by Windows XP. Driver specification for Windows Vista (and thus for DiretX 10) are diffirent from those for Windows XP.

So if someone do a DirectX 10 for Windows XP, it will have performances drop. There is no game faster and better with DirectX 10 then with DirectX 9.

Search for Crysis High in DirectX 9 and DirectX 10.
