Lenovo Driver for Ricoh's SD Host Adapter?

Apparently Vista SP1 nukes the driver for the Ricoh(?) SD Host Controller that is in the Thinkpad, installing MS's own version, so the computer generates an error on startup "Microsoft WPD FileSystem Volume Driver" cannot be found, and then it goes online to find and download the same non-functional MS driver again.

There seem to be a lot of web hits on this subject all pointing to "reinstall your OEM vendor's driver" as being the way to solve it.

Has anyone else had this problem? Know where to get the specific Lenovo version of the right driver (USB controller? SD controller?) to correct this with?

You can download the Ricoh driver @:

http://www.station-drivers.com/page/ricoh.htm

It fixes the problem with the memorystick Pro/Duo, etc...

Thanks,

Michel

Michel, I may try those if I can't find a driver from a primary source, i.e. Lenovo directly.

Generic drivers aren't always an OEM match, and "some guy maybe in France" isn't always a reputable source for drivers. Not to mention, the driver files do not match the version numbers listed on that page. (Until the last malware source dies, I can't be called paranoid, can I?<G>)

If those are Ricoh files, there's a direct source at Ricoh or Lenovo, no?
