T60p Windows XP SP3 Explorer Slow as Molasses

Among some other issues, Windows Explorer is slow as molasses to open My Computer. Same slowness when I am trying to save something, attach a file to an email, etc. Any ideas?

Probably Windows falling apart, as usual....

update your windows, apply sp1
if not, downgrade to xp
