battery purchase reminder- how do I get it to go away?

#1 Post by mybellyisempty » Tue May 20, 2008 8:30 am

I got a used laptop off here with a 9 cell battery. Turns out it's being recalled, which is good, as it's currently at 46mwh instead of the 87 it was designed for.

But, how do I get the thing to stop trying to bug me about buying a new battery? I understand that my battery's life is diminished. I don't need the little reminder triangle next to the battery power manager.

I haven't actually tried it yet, but have you tried unchecking the box that says "periodically show messages about battery charge capacity". You can find it in power mangager, battery information tab, Battery maintanance and then at the bottom.
See if that works! :D

Yeah, always do that. Still didn't go away.
