Hi,

Im looking at upgrading my T7300 CPU on my T61.

Intel seems to makes two types of S479 CPU's being a Micro-FCBGA and a Micro-FCPGA.

Ive used a few diagnostic programs to determine the package type of my current CPU but cant get anything.

Does anyone know what package type I should use for compatibility with my T61?

Thanks

T7800 65 nm 4MB L2 2.6 GHz 800 MHz
T7700 65 nm 4MB L2 2.4 GHz 800 MHz
T7500 65 nm 4MB L2 2.2 GHz 800 MHz

Any of the above would work. Choice depends on your wallet.

Rambler76: If you ended up upgraded, I can buy your T7300 for reasonable price. I've just bought a R61e and love to replace with a c2d.

PM me if you are interested.
