Upgrading HD on t61

Hey guys I have a t61 8889-26u machine and I want to know if a 200gb travel star sata 300 7200 hd would be compatible. I checked th elenovo website and they dont mention anything on this. Can anyone help me please?

yeah, certainly would be. I don't think there are any sata drives that wont work in the system.

Thanks for getting back to me. I also had one more question. I dont feel like rebuilding the OS from scratch. I have a rapid restore image on an ext hd. Can i simply install the new drive and then drop the image onto it, or will rapid restore not like I am restoring to a new drive?

should work just fine. Rapid Restore just copies the info to the system. It doesn't matter which drive is there as long as it's working.
