Is it possible to get the fingerprint reader if it was not included stock ?

Not sure but perhaps ! I have to order an plam rest for a Thinkpad. It looks like the fpr and his IC are all togather. They use the same connector to mainboard than a palm rest without fpr.

If your T has the security chip , which it probalby does, then all you need is the palm rest and fingerprint reader. I did this on mine. I found a palm rest for sale here on this board
PadHead T60 FlexView LCD, 3GB RAM, 7200RPM 160GB Hitachi, DVD-RW, Verizon WWAN, BT, ATI x1400, Fingerprint reader, Atheros wifi card, 9-cell, Hard drive caddy clone, XP Pro (of course).
