Which wireless card where?

I originally planned on swapping out my dad's Atheros N w/ my 3945ABG. Did that last week. Did that to try out OSX, and planned on using it in the R60 in my sig.
But, OSX didn't work out all that well (always have problems getting it to boot properly), and Ubuntu 8.04 didn't even detect the card, although it sees the 4965AGN just fine.
So, now I've thought about switching cards. I'll put the Atheros 802.11N in my T61P, and put the 4965AGN in my R60. Typically, the Atheros would get a better signal, and the Intel would save battery life. Plus, the R60 is the one in danger of random formats for Linux and other messing around in non-Vista/XP operating systems, and the Linux support out the box would be better.
The T61P is about power, not battery. The R60 is about battery, not power, so this seems to be a good plan.
I'm just wondering if anyone can give me a reason to keep the intel card in the T61P.
