T60 1952-FE6 weird vga outpout

#1 Post by path » Sun Jun 01, 2008 2:25 pm

Hi guys :)

Yesterday I was happy using my t60 when this thing happened. At that moment the vga output was working properly but some minutes later it wasnt..This laptop is still under warranty BTW, what do I need to ask for it? cant find my lenovo's bill though. Would a ram change spoil the warranty ?

I've ruled out:

*vga cable (tried several lcds/crts)
*drivers (tried on booting process, pressed fn+f7, changed the vga output on bios)

It seems as if some vga pin wasnt sending signal...
Any feedback we'll be appreciated.

thanks in advance.

You're link doesn't work as it is, I think you meant this.

Anyways, looks like you lost horizontal sync (the VGA output's 15 pins are for RGBHV - red, green, blue, horizontal sync, and vertical sync).

I would certainly think the warranty would cover that issue though, good luck!

Thanks for your reply :D (corrected the mistake, my bad)

Yep that is my current theory I hope this issue would be fixed in short by the warranty.

cheers!
