Battery Test

#1 Post by cdero » Tue Jun 03, 2008 11:02 am

Is there a way to test the integrity of the installed Thinpad Battery. I'm not looking to see if the battery is part of the recall program. We will be testing a large number of thinpkads and would like ot know which unit batteries have some life left in them. Units in test T60 T61 and T43.

Click here for the tester from Lenovo.

Go here to read more too: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... 67765.html

There is also a sticky up top about the Lenovo battery recalls.

Lenovo 's Power Manager software provides the battery's part number, manufacturer, manufacturing date, design capacity, present full charge capacity, cycle count, ... i.e., everything one would want to know about a battery.

Notwithstanding that determining LiIon battery condition is not foolproof, the software provides as good a gage as can be obtained.

Install the Power Manager (if not already installed), click on it, go to Battery Information tab, expand the Battery details box, and you will see what you wish to know. (Note: The software is slightly different on the T4x series.)
