service partition lost

Hi,
I have installed ubuntu 8.04 in dual boot on my T60 ...
No problem, all seem to work fine on both side: windows and ubuntu...
2 days later... What was my surprise when I tried to backup my pc...
I start the thinkvantage rescue & recovery and the following message popUp: "The backup faild because the local backup partition was not found."
After some search I understand that during the installation of ubuntu, I have deplaced??? the service partition beetween windows and ubuntu partitions and it is not at the end.
And since I understand this I have deleted this service partition, it was not protected in BIOS?
Ok, I can backup on external memory space... , but i WANT
recover this partition and utility, booting on this "os"...
I found symptome and solution here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... tml#290959
but I don't know what to do?
where i can find (download) this partion, image? and how to configure the flags, size of the partion, if primary or extended...?
Thank's for your help.
