The T61 configuration that I'm looking for seems to be fairly widely available with an 802.11 ABG wireless card, but doesn't exist with an AGN card. Can any recent T61 with an ABG card be upgraded to an AGN card? In other words, do all recent T61 models come with the three antennas needed by wireless-N?

I've looked at the HMM and TAbook, but I can't find a completely clear answer in either place. Probably I'm not looking closely enough, and will be grateful for any answers.

I have done abg -> agn on a CTO T61. It has an extra antenna already built in.

Thanks for this. I wonder if anyone else can confirm that non-CTO units also have the three antennas.

The configuration I want is SXGA+ with Nvidia graphics, preferably with a fast processor. Of course SXGA+ isn't available new, and the only choice is refurbs or boxed units on eBay, and they all seem to come with ABG only.

A recent X61s came with 3 antennae and we upgraded to 11agn. My T60 came with two antennae and I added a 3rd antenna. So adding a 3rd antenna is pretty easy.
