Its kind of annoying: Whenever I put the Thinkpad to sleep and I remove the mouse after that it wakes up again. Can I avoid that?

The problem is that by default the mouse is set to awaken the system. Go into device manager and change the setting to disable this activity.

I checked the device properties and I dont have these settings to prevent that. Is there a reg key or something?!

Are you sure you checked the mouse properties? You may have only looked at the trackpoint, not at the usb mouse you have installed.

Unfortunately: Vista. However I fixed it. Had to disable that in the device manager. (root hub)
