Microsoft made a change in Vista service pack 1. It now reports the total amount of RAM installed in system windows. However, the amount addressable and usable by the operating system (which was reported before) has not changed and remains 3 GB for a 32-bit system.
Current: T430
Past: T42 | T60 | T61 | X61T | T410

yeah, SP1 shows you how much RAM is in the system but go to the task manager and go to the performance tab. You'll still see it's using about 3GB total even though it's 4GB installed.

Yep...you're both exactly right. Well I guess at least it's a little satisfying to see it listed in properties. :?
