T60P Shut Down with high temperature

Recently, I found my T60P always shut down in the middle with very high temperature, with the following situations:
1. Run harddisk clean for more than 15 mins or
2. BT or emule for more than an hour or
3. Scan virus for more than an hour

Sometimes, after the shut down, it restarts and run blue screen with the wording 'Dump memory' or sth. like that and then auto shutdown. After around one hour cool, it can be started well, but when do the above 3 types of activities, same thing happen.

Q:
1. Is this related to virus / harddrive quality / fan issue or others?
2. How to fix it?

Thanks for your advice in advance!

I've just had a T60p in for service after it regularly hanging/powering off when hitting 100 deg.C

Apparently they replaced the fan assembly and it's now idling around 50 deg.C - perhaps 60 under moderate load, and sustained gfx/cpu stress I struggled to hit 80 deg.C Before it took no effort!

Very pleased with the result... although I do notice the bios tends to run the fan fairly fast -- 3400 rpm or so (power, noise) -- maybe could allow things to run a tad hotter. I could run some ctrl sw, but am just leaving it for now.

Running hot

My T60p has been in the shop 4 times in the 2+ years for this problem. They have replaced the motherboard 2 times. not sure about the fan. they just serviced it again a few weeks ago...we shall see. What program are people monitoring temp with?
