Power Manager Gauge disappears

Even when the option "Show Power Manager Gauge in task bar" is selected, sometimes it doesn't appear.
This happens especially when I switch users (I have more than one user account in Vista).
To make it reappear, I have to restart my computer. :-/
Anyone knows how to solve this? Or, at least, when the gauge disappears, how can I make it reappear?

Press the Windows key + R at the same time to open the run dialog. then run:
rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\ThinkPad\UTILIT~1\PWRMGRTR.DLL,PwrMgrBkGndMonitor
hope that helps

That didn't work. I'm using Vista x64... Don't know if that's the problem.
I couldn't fing any PwrMgrBkGndMonitor file, and in the location "C:\Program Files (x86)\ThinkPad\Utilities" there's no PWRMGRTR.DLL.
In that location there are, although, two files similar to that one: PWMTR32V.DLL and PWMTR64V.DLL. The description of these files is "ThinkPad Power Manager Background Monitor and Tray Battery Gauge". However, when I try to run these DLL, nothing happens...
I've tried:
rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\ThinkPad\UTILIT~1\PWMTR32V.DLL
rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\ThinkPad\UTILIT~1\PWMTR64V.DLL
rundll32 C:\PROGRA~2\ThinkPad\UTILIT~1\PWMTR64V.DLL,PwrMgrBkGndMonitor
No error message. It just doesn't happen anything. :-/
Anyone knows how to fix this?

have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
my X64 machines didn't have that issue, so it's likely not a program error

Yes. Nothing changes.
