cover sensor in t61?

#1 Post by m-blue » Fri Jun 13, 2008 3:25 am

Hi,
Anyone knows? where is cover sensor in t61? in t42 was mechanical, now I can't find it, sa probably is magnetic?
System is going in suspend mode after closing to about 45o, in t42 I could close to about 30 without suspend?
Regards,
Michal

I don't know the answer to your question, but it is possible to turn off suspending when lid is closed.

To the best of my knowledge, there's a magnet under the keyboard bezel that trips a sensor on the inverter.

This is a configurable feature via:
- Power Manager
-- Global Power Settings
--- Events - Advanced
---- Enable Lid Closed action delay (specify time delay)

Yes kinda this. I didn't "disassemble" my T60 yet but my assumtion is that it's a Reed Sensor.

Configurable is working when closing or no, not when it start to turning off when you are closing lid:)
