More Intel Turbo Memory issues..

Recently.. I thought I would be proactive (mistake #1) and try to defrag and chkdsk my laptop because the warranty was running out. As I was chkdsk'ing the HDD it kept stalling at about 28% and wouldn't go past there. I'd go into RnR and it would throw up all sorts of reference memory errors. I ran the HDD diags in the bios and it returned an issue. Lenovo sent me a replacement HDD and I re-installed the OS and partition on the new drive and I'm on my way.

The only thing problem I have, is that I'm not seeing 3GB ram in the computer properties. I have 2GB physical memory and the 1GB turbo. Now I swear that it read 3GB before but I'm only seeing the 2 now.

In device manager I have the latest drivers of the adapter and of the Intel SATA AHCI controller but i'm still not seeing the extra 1GB. Also, in the Turbo console the Readyboost is enabled and the Readydrive is enabled.

Any thoughts.. :?:

AFAIK Intel Turbo Memory (alias Robson chip) doesn´t count as RAM, but I might be wrong...

I could swear that it counted it prior to the re-image..

Anything else to check to get the Turbo Memory running?

I think there is an applet from Intel that should be installed to tell you about the turbo memory.

Turbo memory is not included in any memory count bios / windows or otherwise.

You are correct. Turbo mem is not related to main RAM at all and should not appear as RAM. (actually mine is resting outside my T61 until Vista is stable - I went back to XP)
