Is there anyone here who has ordered and installed a at&t/cingular WWAN card, antennas and sim reader for a T61p? I opened mine up and saw the slots available, I'm curious where to get the hardware and how to install them.
thanks

I'm also interested in maybe oneday doing this, except I've got a T60p.
You'd probably have to take a look at the hardware maintenance manual (HMM) and figure out what the FRU's are for the components needed (eg. Sim card reader, WWAN, antennas, etc..) and just order them and install. Might also be a good idea to see if your laptop has the required spaces available to install the equipment (Although, I assume all do).

I think the T6x series with "p" suffix all reserved the space for installing SIM card slot and WWAN card in the future. It is a little bit difficult to install the antenna since it's going though the screen.

Ah, you wouldn't be willing to let me know around how much it cost you? (just trying to get a ballpark figure).

T60 Sim Card adapter (Non-WideScreen) - FRU 41W1353 - £3.70
T60 Wireless WAN Antenna 15.0" Kit (Includes the Keyboard Bezel WWAN Antenna) - FRU 91P6989 - £5.41
T60 Wireless WAN Antenna 14.1" Kit (Voda) (Includes the Keyboard Bezel WWAN Antenna) - FRU 42W2671 - £3.47
Hope this helps

Hmm..
kinda on-topic, but still too weak to start a new topic.
Are the WWAN antenna for the T60 for the LCD specific to any operating frequency, i.e. are there any difference between the EV-DO antenna and HSDPA WWAN?
The reason i ask, is that i bought a 15" inchs kit for vodaphone, P/N 91P7029... instead i was sent 91P7026. I compared the keyboard aux antenna with the one already fitted in the 2623-ddu, and it is completely identical, and has the same part no. So, is the LCD antenna also jst the same as the old one?
Is this even the correct parts i received?
I'm asking in order to save one an hour of work of opening up the LCD display, maybe just to find out the part i ordered it identical. The LCD antenna has P/N: 91P7027, but searching for this part no. yields nothing...

For anyone wonerind about the same in the future, i can say that the antenna in the LCD has a different part no: 41W5125 for EV-DO
The plastic/rubber that goes behind the LCD panel is the same FRU regardless of it being HSDPA or EV-DO.
