Phone number for Lenovo in North Carolina (misshipped T61)?

The shipping address for my T61 had an incorrect street number, so UPS promptly overnighted it "bacK" to Lenovo in North Carolina, where it was delivered today. (This is particularly aggravating because I contacted UPS as soon as I was aware of the situation, who contacted Lenovo, who apparently did nothing )

I want to follow up with someone who is not a script jockey in a call center in India to make sure the thing gets shipped right out again. Can anyone provied me with a phone number that will get me to someone who can actually do something?

Thanks

i don't know the details of your little snafu but when i have such problems i call the local UPS or FedEx facility and get the delivery address corrected..
but they all knew me and usually would deliver to the right address..

calling UPS's 800 number is pretty much useless..
UPS does not care all that much whereas FedEx usually (USUALLY) does care..

i had the personal cell # for the driver on my route and the local UPS office # when i was in florida..
UPS DOES try to hide this from the public..

i would call UPS (again) and speak clearly and slowly but you will run into the crook factor..
crook factor = UPS, et al, being careful about delivering to another address because that is one way CC fraud operates..

so you can understand that UPS shipping it back to lenovo is not aimed at you, but at the crooks that complicate all our lives these days..

sorry this happend to you but the real culprit is whoever gave the wrong address..

nolonemo,
Can you PM me your order number, the one that starts with 2Cxxxx or 9Fxxxx?

I'll look into this and try to help you track down your package and get back to you. You may have already engaged sales, I would think they should be able to help.

Please PM me if you want help.

Mark

Thanks for the replies, all. Actually, Lenovo did handle it pretty well, it shipped out to NC overnight the evening of the day of the attempted delivery, arrived yesterday, and Lenovo is overnighting it back to L.A. today, so I should have it on Monday. Plus I got a telephone call this morning from someone at the warehouse to confirm the re-ship address and tell me that it would be shipping out. I did have to push on the CS people in India (or wherever) to get the quick turnaround, they initally had told me that it would reship from NC via ground.

Having said that, I did notify UPS (via 800 number) of the error at the end of the original target shipping day, and the rep said they were sending an immediate notification to Lenovo with my two phone contact numbers. If Lenovo had been a little more on the ball, they could have arranged for re-delivery before UPS returned the thing to them....

On the other hand, it's quite possible that the address error was mine  I can't find the order confirmation page I printed out when I placed the order, so I can't really tell.

Amazing how aggravating this delay was, considering that my T23 is chugging along just fine and I don't have any current projects that really require the added horsepower. But I've always bought used TPs about 3 generations out of date, an dI'm like a little kid at Christmas at the though of getting a new state of the art one (well, state of the art for another month or so). Is there such a thing as new laptop smell? :D
