Hi comrades,

I have a T61 with 1GB RAM (Lenovo make), I would like to upgrade it to higher capacity.
I want to replace it with a single 2G stick.
I have a 3 year limited warranty, opted for the same during purchase. The system is of US origin. I live in Hamburg, Germany.

My question is: Is the Thinkpad 3 year warranty still valid, when I buy a non-Lenovo RAM module like Corsair or so?

Upgrading your memory does not void your warranty.

Also, I hope you mean add to, not replace.

3gb is better than 2gb, after all.
