T61 - MiniDock - PS2 mouse - Wakeup Question

#1 Post by lesmoss » Tue Jul 01, 2008 6:56 pm

I have a T61 in an Advanced Minidock with a PS2 Mouse. OS is Vista SP1.

How do I get my Mouse to wake the T61 from sleep as it did on all the other PCs I have owned?

Go to Device Manager in Windows and look for Power Management options under the mouse then tick mark "enable the device to wake up your machine".

If you don't have that option for your PS/2 mouse in Windows then go to BIOS and try to look for one.

With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."

The only mouse listed in Device Manager is the "Thinkpad Ultranav Pointing Device" which says it is connected on the PS2 port. There is no Power Management tab for that device as you would normally find on the default Windows mouse driver.

Do I need to install the Windows PS-2 device driver? If so, how? And, would that disable the touch pad?
