T61 in an Advanced Mini Dock with Vista SP1: Every now and then (haven't figured out the pattern), the "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" protocol get unchecked in the local area network properties. Just rechecking the box restores file sharing, but that should not be necessary. The last time it happened I had undocked and gone on a trip using WiFi while away.
Could this be a "feature" of Access Connections? I have disabled Client Security Solution if that matters.
File and Printer sharing protocol is getting disabled.
Yes i think it's great as well, but when i used AC i had about 30 profiles because i connected to a lot of different WLANs with different settings/security. Some of them also required EAP-FAST and EAP-GTC with OTP which is not supported by Windows without a 3part wireless client like AC. So then i didn't really have a choice either.lesmoss wrote:Thanks Wiz. I found it and changed the setting.
Why did you abandon AC? Seems like a useful feature, once you figure out how it works.
Now i connect to only three WLANs and i switched to Windows Vista. I found AC to work good so didn't remove AC because of issues or problems, but don't really need the features of AC right now. I also find the wireless support in Vista to work very well.

I also connect to a number of networks, some WLAN and some LAN. I use Multi Network Manager for my profiles:Wiz wrote:... but when i used AC i had about 30 profiles because i connected to a lot of different WLANs with different settings/security.
