Bluetooth issues with T60p!

#1 Post by crispy517 » Wed Jul 09, 2008 1:17 am

Hey everyone I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a current problem that I am having...

I currently have a T60p with built in Bluetooth. I recently formatted it and put a fresh copy of Windows XP SP2. After reinstalling all the drivers/software/etc my Bluetooth does not seem to be working.

When I go into Device Manager the Bluetooth shows up as "Thinkpad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate" and says its working perfectly. I can use the Fn+F5 to turn it on and off and it registers. But, the problem arises if I try to use My Bluetooth Places. It says "Bluetooth Device Not Found." I'm fairly certain I have installed everything relating to this from the Lenovo support site...

If anyone can help me that'd be great!

Chris

Make sure you're using the XP version of the driver...

Awesome! thanks for the help, I managed to get it working. All I had to do was:

1. Power Bluetooth Radio via Fn+F5
2. Uninstall Bluetooth Drivers from Device Manager
3. Powered off Bluetooth Raid via Fn+F5
4. Uninstalled Bluetooth software from add/remove programs
5. Reinstalled Bluetooth latest Bluetooth software from Lenovo
6. Powered Bluetooth Radio via Fn+F5

Now I still have the "Thinkpad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate" in Device Manager, but now also a "Bluetooth Bus Emulator"

Thanks again for the help!
