Hello,

I'm using a 7662CTO ThinkPad T61 with nVIDIA Graphics:
Integrated Bluetooth PAN3
Integrated fingerprint reader
14.1 WXGA+ TFT with Camera
nVIDIA Quadro NV S 140M 128MB
Windows XP Professional
Intel Core2 Duo T9500 for T61
4 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 (2 DIMM)
200GB HDD, 7200rpm w/ FDE
DVD Recordable, UBS
PC Card & Express Card Slots
Wi-Fi upgradeable
7 cell Li-Ion Battery for 14W

I would like to buy an UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC 30-inch Widescreen.

I'm presently using a 250410U ThinkPad Advanced Mini Dock.

I'm ready to buy a Thinkpad Advanced Dock in order to get a Dual-link DVI on the docking itself.

To you think this setup will work ? Will I need to buy an external video card to put in the Advanced Docking Station ?

I s there alternatives?

Thanks in advance,

benoit

1. You don't need an Advanced Dock

2. It will work from the advanced mini dock with your graphics card.

Hello Freddy,

Do I need a dual-link DVI cable?

Do you have the same configuration ?

There is not much information about docking station on the Lenovo web site. Do you have a better source before I order the monitor?

Thanks in advance,

Benoit

there was a thread where someone else mentioned the Nvidia GPU can only go up to UXGA or something but then again there's another few threads on here that says a T60/T61 will drive a 30" LCD no problem and others tested it just fine.
