Sorry if this is a repeated question. I was having trouble searching the forum...
I have a T61 laptop provided by my company and there seems to be a strange issue with the wireless radio. The wireless indicator light is illuminated below the LCD and the switch on the front of the laptop is switched to ON (to the right). However, when I press Fn+F5 to open the Access Connections quick switch window, the Wireless Radio is listed as OFF. Clicking the Power ON button changes the status to ON, but I can't connect any profile using the wireless adapter. Clicking Power OFF also does not power off the adapter (the indicator light remains lit).
The wireless card still works because I have changed the setting to have the connection be handled by Windows instead of Access Connections and I can access the Internet just fine. But if I have Access Connections handle the connection, the connection just fails when applying the wireless settings.
I have reinstalled Access Connections hoping that would do the trick, but nothing changed.
Anybody have any ideas as to why this would be doing this?
