Intermittent hibernation problems
Intermittent hibernation problems
Normally machines hibernates fine - but occaisionally it refuses and produces the following pop up error from the systray:
Application popup: Windows - System Error : Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API.
After this the machine sometimes behaves oddly - so a reboot is required.
Standby works fine every time. Looked in the event log and all I can find is the notification... nothing that gives a clue as to what the problem is.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Dear Richk - I wouldn't say so... 10Gb free.
Slagmi - are you implying the machine has a virus? I don't think so - it's a corporate machine and kept away from most of the internet horrors and runs corporate McAfee
Any other ideas?
Thanks
M

It happened to me a couple of times on a A31p when docked in the Dock II (hasn't happened yet on any other machine I use or when the A31p wasn't docked). Never bothered me much so I didn't really care. Just now I googled "Windows - System Error : Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API." and found this on the MS support pages: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=909095
