T61 running kind of hot

Lately, my T61's been kind of hot -- enough so that it's slightly uncomfortable to use it on my lap. Is this normal? What can I do about it?

If it only started being hot recently (and your room temperature hasn't changed a lot), chances are you're suffering from dust buildup in the heatsink.

I've also noticed mine getting extremely hot. So hot you cant keep your hand under the GPU or CPU or it will burn. TPFanControl will show 85-90 under a load ... It hovers around 70 Celsius when idling, plugged in with a minimal load.

My T61 has discrete graphics and a T7300 processor.
