wireless connection tray stop responding

this happens randomly without any notices. but sometimes my msn/gmail client just disconnected all of a sudden, and when i checked the connection status, i could not even click on it.
when i try to restart the computer, it takes 5 minutes to restart because it gets stuck while trying to shut down the network. and i don't want to force shut down.

why does this happen? i just format and fresh installed windows XP and it just happened again.

p.s. sometimes it says "power meter" stops responding when i try to reboot after my connection is not responding.

Try uninstalling Access Connections (if it is installed), uninstalling the wireless driver, restarting, installing the wireless driver, then installing Access Connections (if you use it).

Also check the power setting in the card. Sometimes setting it to normal or off can help. ... JDH
