Windows Network Connection Setting Keeps Getting Unchecked??

Windows XP Pro
IBM T60p

Control Panel > Network Connections > Wireless Network Connection

The setting "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" will uncheck itself if I restart my computer. Does anyone know why it's doing this and how to stop it.

This problem is isolated to my wireless card and not my LAN card. Could the "ThinkVantage Access Connections" program be overriding my Windows settings?

Thanks.

There is a setting in Access Connections (under Additional Settings) to disable File and Print sharing. It should be unchecked. However, the default has never been checked, so unless you overtly checked it, it should be off already.

If you don't have too many profiles, it is easy enough to uninstall Access Connections and check your problem. I use AC all the time and use File and Print sharing all the time as well. ... JDH

I could not find the setting you suggested. I have Access Connection version 4.42. Which version do you have?

Open Access Connections to its main menu. Select Manage. Select the profile and click on Edit. There are 3 tabs across the top and Additional Settings is one of those. I have V4.41 running, but 4.42 is very similar. ... JDH

Sorry for the late reply but your solution worked. Thank you very much.

On mine I had to click the "Settings" button next to the "Network Security" check box to reveal the "Disable File and Printer Sharing" option.
