Recovery Discs Question?

#1 Post by fataljn » Sat Aug 09, 2008 12:55 pm

I have a t61p laptop, and I burn the set of recovery disc. I want to use it in a new hard drive that I bought, but the recovery disc wouldn't read some of the files. Should I call Lenovo for a set of recovery disc? Will they charge me for it? Thanks.

Yes you should call them. Explain nicely that their Rescue and Recovery program made a set of bad discs and you are unable to reload the factory image. If one agent denies you a free set, keep calling back until you get one who does.

If they give me free disc, do I have to provide information or pay for shipping to get them? Thanks

If your address info is not on file, then yes obviously you'd have to give them a shipping address. No charge for shipping.

You do have to provide shipping information but you shouldn't have to pay any shipping.
