T61 p DVI output possible?

#1 Post by rwilcher » Thu Aug 14, 2008 6:20 pm

Is there a way to get DVI output from a T61P?
I just got hold of one through my employer. Even
with the wide screen it's hard on these old eyes :( .
I have a DVI wide screen monitor and would like to
use it. I know you can't have everything. (where would you put it? ). Anyone got an idea on this?
Thanks.

You need to use the Advanced Dock or Advanced Mini-Dock.

There is also a PCMCIA card that gives you DVI output.

When I wanted to add DVI for my T42, I chose the $10 port replicator over this for obvious reasons ;P But since a T6x dock costs over $100, this might be an alternative.

Advanced Minidocks are all over ebay at far less than new.
