Thinkvantage update screwed my screen settings

#1 Post by DaimoB » Tue Aug 19, 2008 6:22 am

Hi

I've used the ThinkVantage system update to update my T61 and it downloaded a "critical" bios update.

After 100mb or so, it reboots, and now i've lost all visual display settings. Im completly stuck in 800*600 mode, on a massive 8bit graphics.

No matter how many times I try to reset to my original 1024x768 32bit colour, but it just ignores me, doesn't even try to apply my settings and sticks to the rubbish screen.

I've checked all the settings/drivers compared to another T61 and they seem the same, and i've gone into the setup, and everything looks fine.

Does anyone know what the hell has applied itself to my machine? :( All I installed was the stupid critical update, wish I hadn't bothered now as its really screwed me over.

Any help appreciated.
