I have two backup images created on my local hard disk.
I couldn't delete one backup image as it says you do not have enough space to delete the backup.
How do i delete it? I need to delete one as i have only 5GB free space on my laptop.

Hello Srini and welcome to the forum,
This thread will answer your question. Look at
ryengineer's first post. For future reference, use the Search function above. In this case, I entered the words 'delete backups' and set it to search for all the terms.

Thanks BeeJayEmm for your reply.
I stil not able to delete the backup's as I couldn't see C:\RRBackups folder even in safe mode.
I have the folder option set to view hidden files and folders.
Is there a better way to delete backups.

Have you tried deleting the last backup on it's own first? That normally does the trick.
The backups folder is hidden, you'll need to go to control panel > folder options and change the settings so that hidden folders/files are shown.

I have two backup's that are displayed while viewing from backup and restore screen.
I was trying to delete the old backup, I shall try to delete the new one and see if that is what you meant.
I have set the hidden files to "show hidden files and folders" even then i do not see C:\RRBackups.

Thanks Andy, your technique worked. I was able to delete the old backup by deleting the latest backup..
Thanks for your help.

sgogula,
glad it worked for you
The reason I believe is as follows; they are cumulative backups. You can recover choosing the first or the second backup, you need the first backup in order to restore the second backup; therefore it will not let you delete the first backup without deleteing the second backup first.
If that makes sense
