Hi,

Lenovo claims that T60 is splitproof but it's not. My thinkpad was accidentaly splitted with a little amount of water (on the keyboard) and its dead now. Problem is that my local lenovo service denies to repair it under warranty. Do you think that the service is not wrong? If i have a normal not splitproof notebook i cant say a word but if i buy a NB that claims its splitproof and its not? Anybody here had a similar problem? Thank you for you opinion.

I think the difference might be it's spill resistant, not spill proof.

As far as I know, at least in the US, liquid spills are not covered under the standard warranty. Only the optional Thinkpad protection (or whatever it is called) covers it.
