T61p, dvd burner heavy vibrations.

So I just made a recovery disk for my T61p, and holy crap is the burner load. The laptop vibrated and made a loud noise a the disk spun. Is the burner just unbalanced? I have 4 year think protection, is this something that should be replaced under warranty. I can understand some vibration, but the whole laptop shook.

try another disk first, it could be warped

Try a different disc and make sure you press it down firmly. If the problem still persists, probably something has dented the top cover and a little bending upwards helps.
