Problem with wake on LAN and T61p w/Advanced Dock

I've got the following problem with my T61p. Any suggestions are appreciated:
The T61p is docked in the Advanced Dock, which in turn is connected to a router via Ethernet cable. When I put the thinkpad to sleep (or hibernation) via Fn+F4 (or Fn+F12), it wakes up a few seconds later and stays on. When I remove the Ethernet cable before putting the machine to sleep, it does not wake up (i.e., that's a work-around but not the most convenient solution). This leads me to believe that it is related to the wake on LAN feature. However, to make things more interesting, wake on LAN is disabled in the BIOS.
Any ideas what else I need to disable for the machine to not wake up when connected to the Ethernet cable? Thx.
