are T60 GPU temps accurate?

I recently started using tpfancontrol to make my T60 a bit better (I can idle for 15 minutes with no fan, two minutes of fan to bring the temp down, then idle again with max temps of 70C GPU, 56C CPU), and I noticed that when I resume from standby, hibernate or turn on (in that order of accuracy), all temps will start at about 30C, which is approximately ambient, and then work their way up to whatever is idle temp within maybe ten minutes. The GPU, however, starts at 53C, even within three or four seconds of resuming from suspend.

Are these readings even accurate?

I don't know whether they are accurate, but I get the same/similar readings on my T60p.

Yes, they are fine :D .
Idling 15min without fan on a T60 is a good result.

Kind Regards

Just thought I'd add this, it's currently my favorite way of running the fans. The offset to to ensure that the CPU will turn on the fan much sooner, because it is so much cooler than the GPU. To give a general idea of my system's cooling, it will idle at 67C GPU with the fan on 1 at an ambient of about 27C

Code: Select all

SensorOffset1=-16
