Was wondering is the new Ultrabay SATA devices (DVD-RW/HD Adapter/Etc) are backward compatible with the T6x ? As I've heard throughout the forum the connector is the same standard one, but will it work?
Am trying to figure this our before I order some accessories for my laptop.
Thanks!

Someone here posted that they purchased one of the "new" adapters and actually got a T6x one (which has a plastic tab sticking out that makes it only work with T6x...):

If I am not mistaken, the interface in the Ultrabay slot in the T6x and X6x series was PATA, meaning that if you e.g. were using a 2nd SATA Ultrabay Adapter, the adapter actually contained a SATA-to-PATA converter.
Also, the optical devices used in the T6x and X6x series were PATA.
The Montevina Thinkpads seem to be native SATA in the Ultrabay slots.
If the above is correct, you should not be able to use any T6x or X6x Ultrabay adapter or optical drive in a new Montevina Thinkpad and vice versa.
