Latest OpenGL drivers for T60p

I have a T60p with ATI FireGL 5250 running Vista SP1 32bit
The latest drivers from Lenovo seem to be back from September of last year. Looking at ATI website they have drivers for 5200 from just last month.
Any way I can get later drivers that work ?
I'm running Photoshop CS4 which now makes use of the GPU but unfortunatley when I have it enabled it does not display correctly.

hey Oaklodge, just to let you know-- and I'm going to make a separate post on this to collect opinions as this approach makes me somewhat uncomfortable-- as a test, I downloaded and manually installed the latest driver for the FireGL V5200 from the ATI website, as I figured that was the closest to our V5250; everything seems to be stable, and the OpenGL features appear to work flawlessly in CS4.... not the best solution, but I'll stick with it unless it starts to affect system stability

You can use
DH Mobility Modder.Net to modify desktop ATI drivers in a way they can install on your laptop

I have tried this for the FireGL drivers and it works without problems - never experienced overheating, BSOD or whatever. Even my 3DMark06 score gained a few more points
Cheers

I forgot to mention that this utility wouldn't install under 64bit OS (Vista or XP). So, if you want to modify anything 64bit, you will have to modify it under a 32bit OS, then save the modified files on an external media. You should then be able to install it under 64bit OS

I am running Vista 64 bit Ultimate and had no problem installing DH Mobility Modder, or running it under Vista 64 Bit. I use the version 1.1.1.0 Final Edition of DH Mobility Modder. You must turn off UAC before updating the firegl_8_523.1.1_vista64_069204 .exe, files that are located in C:\AMD\firegl_8_523.1.1_vista64_069204 this gives my T60p Catalyst Control Center Version 2008.0905.1202.19585, OpenGL Version 6.14.10.7877 Direct3D Version 7.14.10.0464

This issuch a tease ... I now have ran the modder but I can not run the Installation Manager ... It crashes every time, same with the original version ... somthing about mfc90u.dll being the wrong version - I don't think the AMD install works with Vista SP1 or .NET 3.5 SP1 ....
Any sugestions please ?

Nor did I.

That´s interesting. I tried this some time ago and it told me that DH Mobility Modder cannot run in 64bit OS

I guess I had an old version and there are probably a few changes made since then... Actually, I´m glad to hear that it now works with Vista x64. At l(e)ast, one have the hassle to mod in 32 bit spared.
Cheers

If you do a google of InstallManager crashing and mfc80u ... it's a common problem without an easy solution.
