with the in Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN included in the T61p, i have a poor rate reception on the computer. The computer show me 54 mb/s connexion
power of signal is excellent
i have the last driver for the intel Wireless WiFi card
i change of channel to be sure there is no pb with other wifi access point

do you have a idea to solve the problem ?

Can you see the SNR of the connection via the router or connection statistics? Have you fooled around with power settings on the router and power settings on your laptop(Vista has had issues with power saving mode on Intel 4965 ABGN cards).

Perhaps I'm missing something here, in the translation...

You have a ASDL connection capped at 8 mb/s, you have a wired connection that gives you 7mb/s actual throughput, and for your WiFi connection you are seeing 54mb/s or about 7.5 times the connection rate of the wired connection and you feel that it is slow? Or you are saying that you want to see a higher connection rate for our "N" connection regardless of whether or not you can actually use it?

These would be two different problems...
