T60 Please advise

Hi,

I have a T60 and would like to upgrade the hard drive to Seagate 320G. Can I put the original hard drive in the ultrabay and sit the brand new one in the machine and starting the cloneing?

Can the original hard drive boot into window (running window XP) in the ultrabay?

Can the Acronic 2009 trail version do the clone job or I have to buy the full version to complete the job?

My experience of cloning is with T61, but I'd like to share with you.

The steps of cloning are:
1. Install TrueImage and create rescue media (full TrueImage on CD)
2. Take out original HD, install new one
3. Attach the origianl HD externally (ultrabay or USB)
4. Boot from rescue media and choose to clone from external to internall

The trick of the process is from internal to external does not work. But the other way around works. Hope it helps.
