can't run (after installing) fingerprint software...

maby somebody has silmilary problem...
after fresh windows ( xp prof) on a t61 all of windows updates, I was trying to instal fingerprint reader software. Instalation was ok, but first running show license agreement, thats the end - software is freezing, cant accept, go next .
I was trying to run in safe mode, license is going ok, but no drivers for reader. After normal startup, software is freezing on edit or enroll fing...
Ok, maby some of windows updates. After format c:, new windows instalation, I started from instaling fingerprint software, and it nothing changed... I was trying the same with xp sp1 - the same..
I was trying to instal latest version 5.82, and after format, also 5.62.
First time I have this problem, I had a few t61, and never had problem, like this...
In control panel , I can enroll finger and it shows ok, so reader is working...
I will try to install xp sp2 not sp3... but it was working before on sp3 but on diffrent computer, this is new one ( I had hdd from old computer t61 and reader was working fine).
hope somebody help with this...

You lost me with this statement. Are you saying that you swapped a hard drive from another machine into the T61 with the FPR problem, and it then worked OK?
